Legend

Anderson Valley Brewing Company was founded in 1987 by David Norfleet and Kim and Ken Allen. At that time it was one of the 20 craft breweries in the United States! The brewery could be reproduce 10 barrels of beer but was driving back ambitious plans of making ales, porters, stouts and wheat beer of unique taste. After 9 years, everyone wanted to taste the medal-winning beer, so they had to significantly increase the production. Everything went over very well, so we can taste this beer today.

Anderson Valley Brewing Company focuses not only on the quality of the beer, but also the packaging. For example, you can often see the words of the local Boonville slang on the labels , and sometimes the slang is used for the names of beer. Not to mention the company’s mascot Barkley – and imaginary legendary Anderson Valley resident who is half bear, half deer.

Did you ever notice it? Here’s an explanation of how it all relates to beer: bear + deer = beer!
